Typically based on Speedcar (Midget) chassis and running gear with 13" wheels, there are minimum and maximum sizes to consider with most elements of the car. The major differences between a Lightning Sprint and a Speedcar are that we run front and top wings like Sprintcars and smaller, cheaper engines than Speedcars. Speaking of engines, there is large range of options available from 4 cylinder car engines, 4 cylinder motorcycle engines, rotary engines and the Mitsubishi 3ltr V6. Generally speaking, even though our cars cost considerably less than a speedcar to build and maintain, at most tracks we circulate at very similar lap times putting us in the top echelon of racing categories speed wise. e.g. The only class of speedway car that is ALWAYS faster is Sprintcars!
